Sibuyan is a crescent-shaped island,
the second largest in an archipelago comprising Romblon Province, Philippines.
The island is shared by three municipalities, Cajidiocan, Magdiwang, and San
Fernando. Sibuyan Island remains as one of the most unspoiled ecosystems in the
Philippines and the world. If you’re thinking of getting away for a while or find
the right spot to spend time with family, friends or the significant other,
look no further as Sibuyan Island is the best place for you. With its numerous
pristine waterfalls and well preserved mountain, certainly you will forget your
problems and dilemmas in life, so let’s get lost in Sibuyan Island.
In case you are wondering, here are my 8 things to do when you
come to visit Sibuyan Island.
1. Swim, swim, swim
2. Watch Fiesta, Festival, Parade and learn the culture of
Sibuyanons.
The fiesta is deeply ingrained in Filipino culture.
Through good times and bad, the fiesta must go on. Each city and town
celebrates its local festival, usually to commemorate its patron saint or a
product that makes the municipality famous. Here in Sibuyan we have abundance
of fiesta in every barangay. This makes the town truly alive and
well-bonded.
3. Joyride
This island is so small that you can actually circumnavigate it for at least 4
hours. Go see the beautiful landscape and enjoy the views as you travel.
4. Experience the natural Foods
Fresh Buko and fruits are always available in this island.
5. Fishing
Do you love fishing? Good thing, in this island there are a lot of fish.
6. Boating
Tired of riding motorcycles?
Try boating, its peaceful and serene and you can swim after
7. Trek
Do
you love a challenge? Mountain climbing in Mt Guiting-Guiting is open for
hiking, just visit Magdiwang.
